Yoga for little people

If you're a Sacramento area new mom (or soon-to-be new mom) I want to tell you about the Fusion Yoga baby & me classes. I did these classes with both Lucille and Gus and had a great time. Both of my babies really enjoyed it - the movements, the repetition, the energy - can all be helpful for creating routines, getting baby to sleep better and be happier.

They offer two class levels 6 weeks thru newly crawling and crawling thru early walking and the drop in price is $16 a class - and they have package rates, of course. The teacher is great - and if you are looking for something to do with baby (but also for you) this is a great place to go.

If you have an older baby / toddler and are interested in yoga for them - I really recommend this great book called "You are a Lion! And Other Fun Yoga Poses." We rented it from the library and Lucille loved to act like the animals and imitate the drawings of the kids in the book. I'll be getting her - her own copy soon.

We also found these videos that are free with an Amazon Prime membership - Kinda Yoga (lead by a monkey.) It's a fun activity for indoors that is still active. Perfect for early morning risers and rainy days.

Of course we still do some of the movements we learned at Fusion at home too. Any Sacramento readers have other yoga for littles recommendations? I'd love to hear about it!
