It's International Women's Day so I thought I'd share a few of my favorite kids books that are about amazing and inspiring women. These can be great to read with you little girls from a very young age - introduce these names to them and get their imagination flowing about what they can do when they grow up.
Me ... Jane
I am Amelia Earhart (There is a whole series of the Ordinary People Change World books that are worth checking out)
Rosie Revere, Engineer
A Picture Book of Florence Nightingale
These are just a few that we either own or have rented at the library -- there are plenty more for all ages. A good resource for books for girls is A Mighty Girl. They have a whole section dedicated to biographies like these.
Anyone else have any suggestions about inspiring books for girls?
